Urmel Does AltGr works correctly in the Editor? We will try to think of something to make it work in file panels too. Results with build 2096 and registry changes. Key x1 Normal = OK AltGr+Umlaut = OK AltGr+Space = U+2229 (Math: Average sign) Details from charmap.exe with Lucida Console AltGr+NonUm...

Urmel Do you have - [x] Use right Alt as AltGr - set in F9->Interface settings. Yes. But the described behaviour is the same, with and without this setting (in the build 2096). And as I understand from your post all works OK but AltGr? Yes, I think this is a correct summary. Best wishes -Urmel-

Well, now I understand why Urmel and others doesn't see the root symbol. Well FAR can not know which font supports which symbols. So we'll need to add both those "secret" settings to the TechInfo file. I can't understand this right now. In the same console window as the FAR, I use the con...

ShiftF3 is not a FAR command - it uses the currently installed archive managment plugin - when you installed 7-zip it gets the ShiftF3 but it doesn't support this command. Thanks for this explanation! Are there further commands, which are not FAR commands? If so, is there a list of these commands? ...

Hello "t-rex" ShiftF3 works fine, maybe you have a macro on that combination or you use it on an archive that has no commands - it works on rar and zip for sure. Now, I have found the problem. When I've activated the 7-zip plugin, the Shift-F3 (ArcCmd) has no function/reaction. But the Shi...

Selected file(s) indicator / ArchiveCommands

Thank you for your effort to release the Far 1.70! I'm happy to use this fine software. Now, I have a cosmetics and (perhaps) an understanding problem. 1. The selected files indicator sign (the cosmetic problem). When I select one or more files, the select-indicator is shown as a "V". Wit...

Problem if previous FAR is running during the installation

If the installer can't delete all files from a previous installed FAR - because
this version is already running during the installation - it reports still a
successful deinstallation of the old files.
