Sure. I am thinking about writing a Synchronize Folders plugin and it would be rather useful to display that "this file goes from the left panel to the right".

Not for the plugin itself, but it is important for its user.

Hmm, that doesn't sound too reliable. I'll rather try to find a way to avoid needing this information.

Active panel - left or right?

Is there a way to determine which panel (left or right) is active and which is passive?

I did, but to be honest, I didn't like it - it keeps directories locked, for obvious reasons, and it doesn't have a progress bar.

Well, I'll just copy the data using Copy + AdvComp and hope I won't need to do that again anytime soon. But it would be a nice feature for the future versions of FAR Manager.

Copy with verify

Is there any way to do "copy and verify" in FAR? It doesn't matter whether it is via macros or a special plugins, as long as it does everything automatically. Right now I have to do Copy and then Advanced Compare to get thew desired result (getting a copy which is verified to be correct) (...

OK then. It was just a thought. I can live with multiple destinations as they are now (I use them rarely anyway).

Multiple destinations - why not in paralel?

I have just copied a directory to four different places using "process multiple destinations". The thing that struck me as strange was that FAR copied the directory to the first location, then the second location, etc. Is there a particular reason why won't FAR copy the first file to all f...

unicode support is absolutely most important and most wanted feature in FAR manager. So where's the problem? I suppose it is quite difficult to modify ANSI-FAR to Unicode-FAR. Besides, importance is a relative thing. I couldn't care less about Unicode but I would definitely like to see e.g. a suppo...

JohnDoe , that coloring was just an example - I realize I can do that with other plugins. What I wanted to know is if it is possible to use editor for my plugin's editational needs and provide some modifications which will only kick in if it is my plugin which called the editor. Apparently it is po...

Plugin which wants to use the editor

I would like to achieve this functionality: Plugin generates a text with some control codes. Then it opens an internal editor and lets the user to modify the text. Finally, when the user closes the editor, the plugin reads the modified text and processes it in some way. (Basically, what I described ...

1) "Destination path is incorrect" also happens when FAR w. FileCopyEx is run from a Virtual PC 2007 virtual machine and the destination drive is a Shared Folder of the host. Regular Copy works fine, just FileCopyEx has problems. 5) I also noticed something which might or might not be an i...
