I would like to see FAR as portable application. Performance is not a problem in because loading and storing INI or even XML is done only at startup/exit and save options.

Thanks, I've installed it. Still even if it apears to work I hope it will work without converting to unix lines breaks the files already with windows line breaks.

I really loved DN and it's sad what happened with it. If the developers would release it under GPL or LGPL it wouldn't be so. But they made it a sort of public domain and anybody can fork without releasing the sources. Also I would not write any more lines of codes in Pascal and Turbo Vision anymore...

I would very nice and would same a lot of time for us.

PS. i think this is a major feature that could break viewer and editor plugins compatibility but it's like in mozilla - if those plugins are really use someone will update them soon :)

Interesant point of view. I think I can see what you want to tell but this is a scenario like "what-if-goes-wrong" and current scenario is "it-does-worse!". There are OS licensing methods that could prevent this - and did i mention that this is happening ONLY when the project is ...

Fact: over 90% of the projects becoming open source are dead or almost dead because the author can't manage them anymore or it doesn't bring profits. :)

I hope this message will pass the "moderation". As most of the users are developers we can see that the project activity it's almost stalled. An active product should have updates at least monthly. Why? It's simple FAR it's not selling and it's not an open-source project. !sell(commercial)...
