t-rex: this is really easy to reproduce: put 200.000 files in a folder, and load it with FAR (alternatively, connect 2 computers, and change to a shared folder with 1000-2000 files on the other computer). Not that this bothers me - I always considered this to be a progress bar before the folder loads.

FAR on x64 Windows

Would it be possible for FAR to disable the folder redirection on x64 Windows, to allow access to 64bit Windows\System32 directory? More info on file system redirection for 32bit programs on x64 Windows is available in MSDN.

Can I suggest one thing for how FAR adapts it's size to the console: currently, FAR will fill whole buffer, meaning that it's mostly unusable if I want to have large buffer (to see longer output of commands I've run).
