Thanks for confirming the URLs. Something is wrong with routing here. They open OK when I connect via my customer's US network.

Please try this one: Unannounced updates.
I don't know if the issue is fixed there but it's a stable mainstream build.

It works ok for me except for the areas colored by plugins (e.g. Colorer).

jonib First of all, if such a feature is ever added, it should be a function rather than a statement, because you'll definitely need to know the return code of the process being run. Other matters to consider are: synchronous/ asynchronous execution; stdin, stdout and stderr handling; environment v...

You don't need a plugin for this; a simple macro will suffice.
Just import the following file: %FARHOME%\Addons\Macros\BS.reg — and restart FAR.

PS There are many other useful macros in that folder.

Maybe your panel is just too narrow to display the description?
My FTP plugin uses the Medium panel mode and displays the following columns: Host, Home, User, Description. Try AltF9 and CtrlLeft/CtrlRight to change the widths.

Try switching the panel mode to the “Medium” one (e.g. via the “Left”/“Right” menu).

Try the FarSpell plugin. I doubt that it was tested on Vista but it definietly doesn't need MSO.
Generally, you might wish to evaluate other plugins from the Spelling category.

Alternatively, you may use linux-style links transparently with no additional plugins. You may create such true links (as opposed to shortcuts) via AltF6 from a file panel.
