Well, you have the answer, GetLongPathNameW is not available in NT4.
1.80 is version only for developers, it is not ready for daily use. And it hasn't been decided yet if we will support any windows prior to Win2000 with this version.

I see some of you (joejoe) already started posting bugs to the mantis, I think not every one here understand what 1.80 is. It is a pure development version and currently we don't need bug reports as it has A LOT of bugs, which at the moment should be there.

Well, the code is quite straightforward, mostly. The not so straightforward parts usually have no comments at all, so knowing Russian doesn't help much here :)

Opening a file (reading it) is breakable, you can see it on large files (200MB), here the delay happens after the file was read and in the colorer plugin so you should ask the author of colorer for a break key.

Far does not support unicode. You can use one of the available plugins to copy such files, like background copy or filecopyex.

pepak Well it is not one read per file and writing each read buffer to N location might even slow the copying because the HD head will have to jump constantly. It all depends on file size and many other things and no optimal algorithm can be created for all cases. In addition to do as you want we w...

Well, rewrote the drawing function of the editor, now it's fast even with very long lines (at least when colorer is not used, but even then cursor will still move relatively fast). http://farmanager.com/farbugs/Far.EditorDrawSpeedUpTest.rar P.S. Test it out, it might create other display bugs in the...
