Well, the fact is that FAR is very user-unfriendly for new users (even if they are very good with computers, they will have hard time with FAR). But if you give FAR all your attention and enough time, it will be worth it. I wouldn't want to change the way FAR's interface works. What might be useful,...

I have a few questions regarding FileCopyEx, too. I don't read russian so I can't look it up in the help file: 1) How exactly do I use the queue? 2) FileCopyEx first reads as much source files into memory and then writes it to disk. Which is a fine and perfectly logical thing to do. Except in Parale...

Compare text files
Hi guys,
is there any plugin for comparing text files by content? Something which would tell me which line was added, deleted or changed? Basically, I am looking for a FAR plugin version of e.g. WinMerge or Total Commander's Compare By Content.

My Favorites: FAR Commands - I don't know what took me so long to discover this wonderful plugin! Now I don't see how could I live without far:view <for /? and similar command lines! FRename - I much prefer this plugin's way of renaming files (by opening their list in the editor and letting me to us...

Great! Even with my read-only knowledge of C I managed to add the progress bar to the compare plugin. It certainly isn't as efficient as it could be, I prefered to go for certainty rather than for the top speed, but it works. I have a few questions though: 1) I am using FARINT64 for filesizes. Is it...

Help with compiling plugins
Hi! If there is anyone patient enough, I need help compiling FAR plugins. First a little background: I want to modify the Advanced Compare plugin to 1) display a progress indicator (I use A.C. to verify my burned DVDs) and 2) to display a list of files that don't match (as opposed to the default beh...
