Yes I saw that in the help, but then I loose the html formating.
Is there a way to change zd2t filter to another command and not pipe back?
or show the help by running "hv:helpfile" so it uses hyperview?

Run external command from macro

Hi

I want to run a .exe file within a macro, how?
Only thing I can think of is put the command on the commandline and press enter, is this the only way?

This version is supposed to fix the dead key + space problem as I am told.

If my last message was not clear it works now when I use "!!", I did not think of the special symbols in "File associations", but i'm still learning the more advanced macro stuff and forgot other stuff.

jonib Well, ! is "Long file name without extension" in "File associations". Write like this: Macro:Post $If ("String" !! ="String") msgbox("Test","Strings match",0) $Else msgbox("Test","Strings don't match",0) $End Doh!...

jonib What exactly do you write in the "File associations"? Remember that !.! expands to something with backslashes and makes the macro inoperable. Exactly like I wrote: Macro:Post $If ("String"!="String") msgbox("Test","Strings match",0) $Else msgb...

What version of FAR (and of the FarCmds plugin) do you use?
