Yes, it IS a problem. I certainly don't want to wait for FAR just because it loads of some stupid text file. You seem to totally underestimate what it means to load ~200 settings at startup. Maybe you should try it out before you state something like that. Unless you're trying to read the file from...

Finally, a response. At least now I know it's been logged and may get looked at some time in the future. BTW... it's actually easy to reproduce -- I can do it 100% of the time -- so from that perspective testing any fix should be straight forward. But you're right, it is only cosmetic and doesn't im...

Judging by the lack of response my guess would be the "nobody cares" one. If that wasn't the case then at least someone would have responded that they're working on it, or they can't find the problem, or were unable to duplicate it. Something. Anything. But no replies at all?

Screen redraw problem

I seem to have found a display anomaly with Far 1.71 build 2112. I was linked to one of our network shares looking at a directory that had over 36,000 files in it. I used Alt-F3 to run my external viewer on one of the files. When I exited the viewer Far reloaded, but when it started counting the fil...

ok, back to the discussion: i can´t believe that Install Explorer itself is the problem. i use version 0.3 and it works fine. so search with Dependency Walker for missing libraries at your system that "6InstExpl.dll" depends on. Install Explorer is definitely the problem. But it's not whe...

you can add me to that list as well; his email bounced back, so I had no choice but to delete Install Explorer.

First of all, you shouldn't have put a space between /p and "plugins . Your way, you seem to have run Far with no plugins each time. You were right, the space changed everything. :o Removing it allowed me to find the offending plugin. :Yahoo!: And that was... Next, the names of the “heritage” ...

That was it! In the .hlf file for an Editor plugin called ExeFilt - External Filter Plugin for FAR Editor there's a line that says .PluginContents=Registry Browser Plugin . Why, I have NO idea because it doesn't browse the registry at all. But since I don't use that plugin anyway the solution was ea...

I just checked each and every one of my plugin directories, and they all contain only 1 dll and 1 hlf file (except for PicView, which has 2 dll's).

And my "Path for personal plugins" is blank too.
