SEFP (Sony-Ericsson Flash Plugin) isn't here

Those who would like to receive support on the SEFP should contact the author(s) of this plugin directly using the contacts provided therein.
AFAIK, the author(s) do(es)n't provide support here.

Just checked contents of my FarSave1.reg:
~10.5 k lines — Colors\Highlight
~4.0 k lines — KeyMacros
~2.5 k lines — Plugins
~1.5 k lines — PluginsCache
~3.5 k lines — SavedDialogHistory

24 - ( 10.5 + 4.0 + 2.5 + 1.5 + 3.5 ) = 2

What's “unused crap” there?

As Far isn't open-source, and as Far Group members can afford only limited Far development efforts, I would like more important features (like Unicode support) to arrive first.

It's writing the settings what might become noticeably slow in case of a text file storage.

My FarSave1.reg is over 1 MB and contains over 24 K lines (about 3 K lines of these are taken by histories). :friends:

Just tell me how you use Windows if you don't have rights to modify the registry?

What fender62 tries to discuss is not about mobiles, it's about FAR's user-friendliness.

The point is that fender62 would like to use a tool powerful enough to delete “default protected file on a mobile” (whatever this means) and user-friendly and idiot-proof enough not to confuse a novice.
Hard-to-achieve (if not contradictory) requirements…

It's not languages, it's users, who need it. ;)

It looks like the basic settings (the associated program, the “Open with” list) are stored under HKCU, whereas Advanced settings (e.g. commands, handlers) are stored under HKCR.

So the suggestion of dee seems reasonable.

Lacking support for file names containing Unicode characters is a well-known bug. To work it around consider using Background Copy or FileCopyEx plugins. They are far smarter than built-in copying and both have their own pros & cons.

What's your vision of this functionality, however useful?
The Network plugin doesn't display nested folders (they are displayed by Far itself).

Far has extensive help available by F1. It's a good reference manual.
Additional texts are located in the Documentation/eng subfolder of the installation folder.

Consider using comparison by content: either Advanced Compare or Deep Compare plugins.
