hello all,

If anyone interested how to view open office documents in far internal viewer here is solution:

(1) download program which can extract document
http://www.info-zip.org/UnZip.html

(2) download and compile program which can parse openoffice structure
http://siag.nu/o3read/

(3) download and compile program which can change encoding from commandline in pipe (compiled version is part of msys or unix utils for windows)
http://directory.fsf.org/recode.html

Code: Select all

recode UTF-8..windows-1250

(4) start far -> command -> file associations -> ins -> ...

here is part of my registry

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Far\Associations\Type0]
"Mask"="*.odt,*.odp, *.ods"
"Description"="Openoffice document"
"Execute"=""
"AltExec"=""
"View"="far:view < unzip -p !.! content.xml | o3totxt | recode UTF-8..windows-1250"
"AltView"=""
"Edit"=""
"AltEdit"=""
