hi,
in alpha 2031 is as default selected option 'search from root folder', but i usualy need option 'from the current folder'.
Is there any way to set this option as default?

I fully agree. It is even kind of annoying that the default has changed. I use this function a lot - so for me it is annoying that the default has changed. I would assume that the old default is more common. Any complaints?

It's the default only until you change it, then the "default" will be the last used.

This is true for an instance of Far (or a Far session). But if I open another (or new) Far session the setting is gone.
...or am I missing something?

Press ShiftF9 (in panels) or check "Auto save setup" in Far system settings.
