USB drive not released

Post by TCA »

My problem is that if I copy from an USB pen drive, and I want to remove it from the system, it says that it cannot be removed, because the system uses it. I figured out, that it only occurs, if I use FAR Manager to look what files the drive has. Unfortunately if I close FAR Manager, the drive still can't be removed.

BTW I'm using 1.70 alpha 6 (build 2051), WinXPSP2 (Hungarian)

Hungarian WinXP Powa! :D

I think, when you close FAR, and after that you cannot remove it, then its isn't a FAR bug.
Maybe you use a file from your Drive, or cacheing is enabled for it.

(Csak, hogy más is értse :) )

t-rex: Alt+F2 doesn't work either. FAR says: "The disk is in use or locked by another process. Could not eject media from drive U:"
Duke: Caching is disabled, and I'm sure as hell that there are no open handles to any file; and no other application is blocking the process.

It's good to see, that other Hungarians are using this great software too.(ENG)
Jó látni hogy más is használja ezt a fajin progit :) (HUN, for those who don't know)
