I did notice that myself. Someone had posted a question about it on the forum too, and the response mentioned a translation issue. Since most of it was in English I was able to find out what the majority of the changes were.

Yeah, I downloaded it few months ago from russian part of this forum. It's really unbelievable to see all those national charcters in filenames, really great feeling about FAR not complaining about files which he can't find or directories which he cannot enter. Simply something we all longing for so many years.
But this alpha was so unstable that you shouldn't think about anything else than watching above described beauty of unicode.

Non unicode program use the ASCII table which contains only 256 characters with 128 of them preset - let's say your windows locale is russian - in this case the ASCII tables contains both english and russian alphabet but nothing more - so if you have a file with let's say a french name a non unicode program cannot process it.
